Introduction to AdwordsCopyright © Johntanyishin Heard of the Google Adwords and have no idea of what that is? Most of us would agree that Google is the number 1 search engine now, it is innovative, creative and adaptive enough to place himself as a prominent player in the emerging internet market, beating Yahoo and all other older search engines. Under Google, Adwords is actually a pay-per-click program which online advertisers place their advertisements with. Advertisers can choose different ways to advertise their websites on Google search engine. It is currently the most user-friendly and competitive pay-per-click program around the market. How does it Work? Notice that when you type in a phrase or a word in the search engine, for example, "how to win lottery" On the top, bottom and sometimes both sides of the page, you see a three lines paragraph with attention seeking wordings like "Be The One To Win". Those are the advertisements. Once you click on it, there will be a charge to the advertiser, depending on the keyword that you searched, the position the advertisement is placed, etc the advertiser will be charged for a sum of money, sometimes amounting to $10.00 per click. Why Choose Adwords? For the advertisers, it means traffic. Traffic is the word used to describe the number of visitors to your website. Just like opening a shop, the more visitors you have, the more chances of closing a sale, assuming other factors constant. Because of the high competition, it is very hard to place your website on the top of the search result, so advertisers turn to Adwords to place their websites on top of the page, even higher than original search results. This gives the advertisers a competitive advantage over their competitors, of course they need to pay for it. Also you pay only for results, you pay only when the person visits your page. This is a much better way than paying for advertisement to be placed on the top but no one visits your site at all. How about other Pay-per-Click Programs? Comparing to other pay-per-click programs, Google Adwords cater to a larger volume of visitors and most of these visitors are armed with credit cards. Good news for the advertisers! Even though you may advertise on other pay-per-click programs, I personally find that Google is the most user-friendly, it offers tutorials and different schemes where you can market your website out. Best thing is it offers you a budget scheme which you can set a monthly or daily budget you want to use for advertising your websites. Good news for me! I would certainly recommend to new online marketers this wonderful advertising program that Google is offering! Cheers to Your Success. JTYS
