Listed below are some examples of the different types of Health Care roles in the U.K:

Medical Assistant - They assist physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and optometrists by performing routine administrative and clinical tasks.

Medical Technologist - They undertake chemical, biological, haematological, immunology, microscopic, and bacteriological tests and can also be known as a Medical technician.

Podiatric Medical Assistant - Their job consists of castings of feet, expose and develop x-rays. They will also assist podiatrists in surgery.

Ophthalmic Medical Assistant - Related to eye-care they give assistance to ophthalmologists during medical eye care.

Medical Records - As the name suggests, they gather patients' health information to maintain an exclusive record. They aim to collect details of patients' medical history and ensure that they are properly stored.

Physiotherapists - Work with patients to regain mobility following operations or accidents

Cardiovascular Technologists - They undertake various tests related to the heart, lungs and blood. They will generally specialise in internal or external cardiovascular technology as well as having knowledge about catheters, pacemakers, and Holter machines.

EKG Technicians - This is also connected to the treatment of heart patients. They will read heart rhythms and activity through electrodes placed on the patient's skin. They also help in diagnosing heart disease and analyse changes in the patient's heart.

EEG Technologists - They specialise in the examination of the brain and the nervous system. They will help the doctors in diagnosing and giving treatment to people with head injuries, strokes, brain tumours, infectious diseases, epilepsy, sleep disorders and other medical conditions.

Medical Laboratory Technicians Jobs - This role includes collecting body samples such as blood, skin tissues and cells from patients to test for disease. They also learn how to create drugs to prevent diseases.

Respiratory Technicians - They treat lung and heart related patients by diagnosing and giving treatment to breathing disorders such as asthma and emphysema as well as providing emergency care.

Ultrasound Technologists - Will undertake ultrasound examinations to produce pictures of peoples' internal organs or of a pregnant woman's unborn baby. They are also known as diagnostic medical Sonographers.

Summary : There are many different types of health care roles both in the private and public sector.
